I am sorry to have waited so long to post this……but THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for the surprise shower on our make up Valentine’s Day lunch!  I was so excited to see all of you jumping out of the cubby room that I did not even notice the huge pile of gifts and flowers and lovely goodies on the table at the back of the room! I usually am pretty perceptive, but you got me on that one!

I had to call Mrs. Plott later on and ask, “But what about their Valentine Bags?  When did they open their Valentine Bags?” ha! I was worried that somehow that got lost in the festivities.

I am writing your thank you notes right now……but I just wanted to jump on the blog and hijack it back from Mrs. Plott for a minute to tell you how dear you are to me!  So, thank you again, sweet room mommies, and sweet little Bear Class children. Annelise and I have never been so pampered!

Oh, and by the way, I’ll be back on this Thursday-Friday, March 5…..and we’ve got some Seuss-y stuff to do. Get ready!

Hey! It’s Mrs. Plott again….hijacking the blog! 🙂 (this is fun….)

I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for their support and generosity in our surprise shower for Mrs. Jenne’! We really “got” her! She had NO IDEA!  Yea! Everyone kept the secret!

Thanks to all who sent goodies and gifts, and to all of those Mommies who came to help and to see baby Annelise. Isn’t she just the sweetest?

I am really enjoying my time here in The Bear Class! Thanks for making me feel welcome, and for participating in Operation Think Pink! I can’t think of a more appropriate way to spend Valentine’s Day, than celebrating a long awaited baby girl….can you? 🙂

8:30-9:20 Donuts and Valentine Bags

9:20-10:00 Art class

10-11:55 School work, assessments (we will skip the bubble in test on “The Dot”) but we do have other assessments to do. Prep for “operation think pink”

11:55-12:40 PE (set up for “operation think pink” during this time)

12:45 Mrs. Jenne’ and Annelise will be here for what she thinks is the valentine lunch!

Please send in $2.00 to help pay for the party stuff. Hopefully we can get this pulled off before Mrs. Jenne’ thinks to check the blog…..but I think she’s pretty busy right now…..don’t you!

It was so great to see some of you tonight at PTA! What a fun meeting that was. I don’t know about you but I am totally pumped about those awesome Promethean Boards…..I cannot wait until we get ours! Whooo Hooooo! Here’s how you can help….use the SCRIPS order forms to pre purchase cards for places that you normally shop. Mrs. Bramble made a great point tonight….most of us think of those cards as “gift” cards, but really, if you plan ahead, you can use them to prepay for things that you would normally buy anyway, and with very little effort on your part….RQES gets the benefit and raises money for those awesome boards!  So, for example, if you know that you are playing ball in a few short weeks and you’ll be needing ball pants, and bats and cleats and belts and socks and hats…..purchase an Academy sports card! Shop with it and Rock Quarry gets money for you buying a card for some stuff that you were going to buy anyway…..amazing! It is only going to take $240 per child  to put one board in every class in the school. (Now, I know the economy is yuck, and right about now every cent I have is going to pay for adoption fees, attorney fees, fees about fees, Tennessee fees, Alabama fees, fees they forgot to tell me about, fees they are making up right now, fees that will be obsolete when I pay them but I still have to pay them anyway……you get the picture……even with all that, I am pretty sure I can scrounge around and find $240 before the end of the year.) So, I am challenging you, Bear Class people……let’s get behind our school and make this happen! 🙂 We can do it! I know we can!  You know why?  Because we are privileged to attend the greatest school in Tuscaloosa! We ROCK!

Wow! I got myself all fired up there! Whew!

What I really wanted to tell you is that I am coming to the valentine party on Friday! I cannot wait to see all of the smiling faces in The Bear Class! And………………………..guess what……………………..

I am bringing Annelise with me!  She cannot wait to meet all of you! See you Friday!
