Merry Everything!

Happy last week of the semester PreKPals Parents!

Can you believe we have 3 and 1/2 days left of the first semester of PreK? We are going to be busy with crafts and fun this week!

We will be singing our fun song “The Reindeer Pokey” with our PreKPals from class #2 at the school wide sing along on Thursday. If you want to practice along at home, we are doing this version:

Your child may wear any holiday or other clothing of their choice on Thursday. We will wear handprint headbands for our reindeer antlers.

On Thursday morning, we will have our holiday brunch (chicken nuggest, pigs in blankets, fruit and drinks) in our classroom beginning at 8:30-9:30. We will open the stockings (they cannot wait!), eat a little brunch, and then the parents will go to the cafeteria to grab a seat. We will come to the multipurpose room around 10 am with all of the other grades and everyone will sing their songs. Dismissal is at 11:30.

We will send rest mats home on Wednesday.

Backpacks DO NEED to come to school on Thursday for transporting holiday goodies home. Bear Binders will remain at school during the break.

Have a great week! Alicia

Run Run As Fast As You Can…………

Hello PreKPals Families!

We had so much fun with our Hibernation/Migration unit last week! We promised the PreKPals that we would leave our bear cave up this week, too because they enjoyed it so much. We have made small bear caves and our paper “build-a-bears” from art last week will hibernate all winter long. We will wake them in the Spring!

This week we are all about Gingerbread! We will be making gingerbread playdoh, counting with gingerbread men and reading and comparing lots of versions of the Gingerbread Man story. We will also begin practicing our song for the school wide sing along. We are singing the reindeer pokey!

I have some health alerts to share with you. We have a few friends with upper respiratory infections, a friend with the stomach bug, and one friend who found lice on Friday night. Please talk with your child about washing hands, using hand sanitizer, not putting things in their mouths. Everyone check hair and scalps for little critters. Hopefully, everyone will soon be well!
